Are you changing the Options "Locally" in a Calculator or in global "File > Options"?
Whenever you change a local setting the "Calculate" button lights up and you must select it to apply the changes. Whenever you change the File > Options the changes will not appear in a footprint that is open. You need to save the footprint to FPX library then make global preference changes in File > Options then open the footprint from the library and the changes will be applied because the data is being recalculated. |

Also, Autogenerate Pin 1 Indicator only works on packages that have terminal leads outside the body.
It does not work for DFN, QFN, BGA, CGA, LGA, PQFN or packages that have the terminal leads under the body. We recommend that you set the Pin 1 Dot Size to 0.50 and then recalculate. That works for all package types. |

Thanks for your quick reply Tom.
I use the option locally and did apply the Calculate button. I understand your message about that pin1 does not work for QFN. However other changes like the space between silk and pad remain at 0.12 mm although i changed it to 0.2mm It also don't accept a polarity indicator at the assembly drawing. My modifications get lost after saving the library and re-open it. Maybe that is by design. I am bot sure |

Options are not saved to FPX.
They are applied to a footprint when you open it. I need to know what version of the program you are using so I can help you with that version. |

Let me discuss this with the programming and administration team.
I don't have a POD account so I can't test the features. But to understand you correctly, you are trying to modify a footprint downloaded from POD? |
