We create all our SOFL Switch Footprints in FP Designer. 

That's where all non-standard footprints are created.

Why is there no option for other types of devices. 

I often times create SOFL switches. 

They really don't fit anywhere in the currently available categories. 

The closest I can see is in the SODFL, but they are not a diode. 

Maybe even just the SOFL, but then there isn't a "2 Pin" option in the dropdown list, so that screws up the searching in the library.  

Would be nice to have a home for these switches.
