    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3262<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 Apr 2023 at 7:48am<br /><br />In FP Designer you open the footprint that you downloaded and then select the Options panel to change the Courtyard Excess to whatever you want and resave the footprint back to FPX.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>FP Designer does follow your Option file when you create a footprint from scratch.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>If you download a footprint, the solder mask settings are pre-defined and if you want to change the solder mask, select the Edit Pad Stack toolbar button and open the Pad Stack Manager.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>I'll discuss this issue with the programmer for that piece of code, but we follow the guidelines provided by the component manufacturer and I'm not sure we want to override that setting.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]>
