Inthe Pad Stack Designer Select –

  1. Surface Mount
  2. Pad Shape Rectangle
  3. Enter your pad sizelength and width
  4. Corner Style “BOTH”(so that you can also create radius corners on the remaining 3 corners)
  5. Chamfer Size
  6. ChamferLocation

As far as creating a "Notch" like an "L" shaped pad, FP Designer can not do that yet.

Absolutely! Use the Footprint Designer module to define your custom padstack.
