PCB Model Selection Confirm - Molded Body

For this part” TAJB685M025RNJ” in this datasheet “http://download.siliconexpert.com/pdfs2/2026/1/22/22/20/26/9847155927/avx_/manual/taj.pdf”

What PCB Model should we use to  create Footprint ?

Is it  “Molded Body”?  Correct or wrong

It is a 'Molded Body' package if the 'D1' dimension is at least 0.60 mm less than the 'D' dimension. 



If the 'D1' dimension is less than 0.60 from the 'D' dimension, then it's an FP Designer footprint.

1. Please add more detail is that generic rules for similar case if the 'D1' dimension is less than 0.60 from the 'D' dimension, then it's an FP Designer footprint.

2. Also in FP tab, create it normal and after that choose to transfer to FP tab, or I must create it from scratch in FP tab

If D1 is less than 0.60 then start in the Molded Body calculator with most of the dimensions and the mfr. recommended pattern. 

Then move the footprint to FP Designer and fill out the 'Specifications' panel and edit the Body dimensions and pad stacks as needed.
