Question on a Fairchild recommended Land Pattern. Does anyone understand why this Fairchild is so different from what is typically recommend? What would you follow? https://www.fairchildsemi.com/datasheets/ES/ES1J.pdf Thanks, John W

Fairchild need to update their Package data to whole metric numbers. They just took the old Inch based part and converted the numbers.
The Heel Joint recommendation is only 0.30 mm and IPC-7351 recommends 0.50 mm. However, the datasheet does say "Minimum Recommendation" so that leaves it up to the user to figure out what the Nominal or Maximum should be.  |
