    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 504<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 20 Aug 2012 at 7:52am<br /><br />You can change both the "User Preferences" or the "Default Preferences" and change any component family Zero Component Orientation to place Pin 1 any where you want. <div>&nbsp;</div><div>To change the program&nbsp;"Default Preferences" select "Setup &gt; Default Preferences &gt; Component &gt; Surface Mount &gt; BGA &gt; Orientation (pin 1) &gt; UP &gt; Apply Changes &gt; then select the next component family &gt; Orientation (pin 1) &gt; UP &gt; Apply Changes &gt; then select the next component family and repeat until all component familes are rotated. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>After you're completed, Select File &gt; Save AS &gt; Your .dat file Name &gt; close the Default Editor.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Select "Setup &gt; User Preferences &gt; replace Default Preferences File (dat) &gt; with your new .dat file". </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>I created an IPC-7351B .dat file that you can use to test and edit in the Default Preferences menu. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Here is the IPC-7351B .dat file - <a href="uploads/3/IPC-7351B_DefaultPreferences.zip" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">IPC-7351B_DefaultPreferences.zip</a></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>As far as the Paste Mask "Percentage" this is a future feature. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Tom</div><div>&nbsp;</div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=67">ejkreiner</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 504<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 20 Aug 2012 at 5:56am<br /><br />Test drive of the calculator is going well so far.&nbsp; Have only found a couple of issues that I would like to see addressed:<br><br>Component Orientation: We need a way to set the default orientation on the decals.&nbsp; We currently use the Mentor LPW and all of our component geometries are current aligned with Piin 1 being in the upper left of the decal.&nbsp; FE has Pin 1 in the lower left.&nbsp; If we cannot set default orientation then we would have to go in and change the orientation on several hundred 3D models which will prevent us from switching calculators.&nbsp; Our management would be very unhappy if we told them we would have to change all the models.<br><br>Solder Paste Screen setting should be either +/- (current) or a percentage.&nbsp; We reduce our footprints to 90% for the paste screen and would like to have this capability on the FE as well.<br><br>Thanks!<br>]]>
