We will update the Allegro Interface instructions. But in the meantime,

  1. Certainversions of Allegro will pop a confirmation box when a SSM (complex pad stack)goes to save. This option is to auto-confirm it if you have one of thoseversions. Normally its off and you turn it on if you get annoying confirmationboxes at the end of a complex pad stack save. If you don’t, you’re good.

  2. NOPROBE – This will place a shape on the No Probe layer that will match the selectedconstraints. The options for constraints are Component Body, the FootprintExtents, or the Courtyard.
  3. EXCESS – This expands or contracts the NO PROBEextents by a static amount in millimeters. Has no effect if there is no NOPROBE area selected.

I could not find an explanation of the following on the allegro interface.

Can you please explain what they are used for.
  1. Auto_Confirm SSM Save. I assume this is to keep from overriding existing SSM files?
  2. NO PROBE
  3. EXCESS
