   <title><![CDATA[PTH vs MH : When I am looking at the TH pad...]]></title>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=7103">SteveD</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1718<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22 Jun 2015 at 4:10pm<br /><br />When I am looking at the TH pad stack for a part long after it was created, how can I tell if it was meant to be plated or not plated? &nbsp;I see some MH that have a hole size and then a min size over the hole that is negative and equal to the pad radius, suggesting that it erases the pads. &nbsp;I see other MH that instead have a keepout all spec. &nbsp;Not all seem to have the option for adding a keepout all. &nbsp;There is no box checked off for either saying plated or not.<div><br></div><div>The real problem here is that there is no written help for pad stacks at all (neither inline nor online). &nbsp;Terms are not defined or ambiguous, resulting in guesswork. &nbsp;I'd prefer a reference I can read than to have to keep resorting to web meetings or phone calls.<br><div><br></div><div><br></div></div>]]>
