    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1148<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 Oct 2013 at 2:22pm<br /><br />You can change the footprint name in both the CAD tool export menu (in both the LITE and Full Version)&nbsp;and in the&nbsp;Footprint cell in the&nbsp;Library Editor (in the full version). <div>&nbsp;</div><div>If you add your part in a FPX file edit the Footprint cell and change the name. Then when you click on the line item to open it up in the calculator it will retain the changed footprint name. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>If you "Batch" create a new library it will use your new footprint name. </div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>The 3D model is always the same name as the footprint.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>Let me know if this works. </div>]]>
