IF you accidentally moved the origin to a funny location it can be very awkward to get it back to a meaningful location.</div><div>I tried the mid-point/end-point/center options but couldn't get those to work.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks</div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=201">Jeff.M</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1063<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 31 Aug 2013 at 8:37am<br /><br />There's nothing wrong here.<div>When you set the origin to any specific value it moves relative to the current origin.</div><div>So if the home origin is 0,0 and you move it by 2,0 it will move to 2, 0.</div><div>If you move it again it will move to 2,0 relative to the current origin but 4,0 relative to the home origin.</div><div>The home origin is 0,0 for new designs. &nbsp;If it is subsequently moved to a different location and saved, the new location becomes the home origin when the part is reloaded.</div>]]>

Do snap Options: "Home", and it will remain where it is.</div><div><br></div><div>I guess desired behavior is being able to set it to "absolute" origin.</div>]]>
