Normally I would refer you to the IPC-J-STD-001 standard for solder joint acceptability but there are no guidelines for SMT mounted cable.

Hi all:
 
If I want to hand solder a cable on a SMT pad, what about the land pattern design?
 
Is there industry standard or experience?
