Hello,

I need the correct footprint name, according to the PCB Libraries naming convention for the Texas Instruments package DPW0005A (X2SON-5, used for example by the SN74LVC1G07DPWR).

Package data from the TI drawing:

  • Body 0.8 × 0.8 mm, maximum height 0.4 mm
  • 5 terminals: 4 corner pads with chamfered shapes, plus one center pin (pin 3)
  • 0.48 mm pitch between pins on the same side
  • No thermal pad

This is not a classic SON, because the terminals are not only along two opposite edges. I see two options and would like to know which one is correct:

  1. Use the SON family, giving SON5P48_80X80X40....
  2. Treat it as a non-standard package), giving TI_DPW0005A (manufacturer prefix plus case code, since DPW0005A is shared by many part numbers).

Which one is correct?

Hello
since the package has irregualr pad shape, so Treat it as a non-standard package), giving TI_DPW0005A (manufacturer prefix plus case code, since DPW0005A is shared by many part numbers).
