I have heard the term used through the years but is a standard header truly a defined part? I did a quick search of various headers and found different lead sizes & shapes. For example PADS library calls out HDR16, HDR18 etc, with several different sizes of holes. Header datasheets from different manufacturers had square, round, .40-.67 mm pins in the few that I checked. So is there a true "standard header" or is this an antiquated term carried over?]]>
