    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2418<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 13 Dec 2018 at 1:09pm<br /><br />You can recreate an entire library regardless of how many parts are in your FPX file.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>Open Preferences.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Save the Preferences under a new name to indicate the Pad Shape.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>In Preferences &gt; Components change the pad shapes to Oblong&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>In Console Preferences &gt; Overwrite Footprint Name Level &gt; enter 3 characters that indicate Oblong example: OBL or OBG or OB or O</div><div><br></div><div>Then Batch create your entire library and O will be the last character in the Footprint Name.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>It's really easy to do and you can create dozens of different libraries this way.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]>

We are now considering using oblong pads on all parts, but can NOT change existing cells. </div><div><br /></div><div>From what I can tell both rectangle and oblong pads use the same naming convention. </div><div><br /></div><div>I am looking for a way of identifying what style pads are being used without manually changing the name.</div><div> </div><div>Hope this makes sense,</div><div> </div><div>Jeff</div><br /></div>]]>
