    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1746<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 07 Aug 2015 at 6:27am<br /><br />The solder joint goals for SMD Wave Solder and Flex Circuit libraries&nbsp;might be an automatic in V2016. <div>&nbsp; </div><div>IPC states that the same pattern for Reflow can be used for Wave Solder, but I have heard different from component manufacturers and assembly shops. </div><div>&nbsp; </div><div>The typical formula&nbsp;for a Wave Solder pad size calculation is -</div><ol><li>Heel = 0</li><li>Side = 0</li><li>Toe = longer than normal</li></ol><div>The typical formula&nbsp;for a&nbsp;Flex Circuit&nbsp;pad size calculation is -</div><ol><li>Solder Mask define (mask over pad)&nbsp;the Toe and Heel by 0.05 mm</li><li>Do not solder mask define the side</li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p>]]>
