    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1444<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 15 Oct 2014 at 10:20am<br /><br /><p>OK, we're going to add a new feature in V2015.01 that provides a warning message when you select the "Done" button and you have unused pad stacks. </p><p>The warning will state that you have unused pad stacks that will be deleted if you continue. </p><p>This will give you the opportunity to Abort the unused pad stack removal or continue if you want the program to removed unused pad stacks. </p><p>We cannot allow unused pad stacks in the FPX file. </p>]]>

Create the outline then go to the&nbsp;FP Designer and create a pad stack. </p><p>I press the&nbsp;"Done" button&nbsp;and, since I did not add it, it gets deleted. </p><p>Why not just add a message that the pad stack was nor saved? </p>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.PCBLibraries.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=3">Tom H</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 1444<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 15 Oct 2014 at 9:43am<br /><br /><p>OK, let me rephrase... </p><p>You can create as many pad stacks in FP Designer that you want, but the program will only keep the pad stacks that you use. </p><p>My recommendation is that you place one of each pad stack in the library part prior to selecting the "Done" button and then the program will not delete them. </p><p>Note: the V2015 FP Designer will have automatic silkscreen trimming in the first release. i.e.: the silkscreen will no longer move out when you place a SMD or IMD pad stack. Rather it will auto-trim around the pad. Really cool feature that no other CAD tool or&nbsp;library Wizard&nbsp;can do. </p><p><br></p>]]>

We thought it was a nifty feature. </p>]]>
