BTW, you might want to get them to figure out a way to make the footprints you create be editable in the OrCAD PCB Editor, since that would make a lot of final cleanup really much easier... For instance, the paste masks that PLX made for my IRFH4253 were considerably different from the manufacturer's recommendation, and I had to edit the scripts to get them made correctly. Editting the scripts also made the notched pad that PLX couldn't create out of the chamfered one it could. I've attached a picture of the final result - even when PLX can't do something, it's useful to get close, and hand edit from there!<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Thanks again, for all your help!</div><div><br></div><div>Oh, and one final question: When I copy a footprint from one fpx library to another, it loses almost all of the ancillary data - like manufacturer, part number, description, etc.... Is this by design? It would be great not to have to re-enter everything.</div>]]>
